王锁平，一九七二年三月出生于中国江苏泰州姜堰区。当代艺术巨匠、中国水墨山水的先锋代表，也是当代诗、书、画皆擅长的全才艺术家。出版《中国高等艺术院校名师教学范本》(王锁平山水画作品选、王锁平花鸟画作品选)、《中国当代艺术精品名家王锁平画谱》。作品收录于《荣宝斋》、《中国当代书画名家作品集萃》、国家线装书局《传世名作》、《当代艺坛名家研究范例》等。

Wang Suoping was born in Jiangyan District, Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, China in March 1972. He is a contemporary art master and a pioneering representative of Chinese ink landscape painting. He is also a versatile artist proficient in contemporary poetry, calligraphy and painting. He has published "Selected Works of Wang Suoping's Landscape Paintings and Flower-and-Bird Paintings in the Teaching Model of Famous Teachers in China's Higher Art Colleges" and "Selected Works of Wang Suoping, a Master of Chinese Contemporary Art". His works have been included in "Rongbaozhai", "Selected Works of Chinese Contemporary Painting and Calligraphy Masters", "National Traditional Book Publishing House: Masterpieces for Posterity", "Research Examples of Famous Artists in the Contemporary Art World", etc.
Major representative works include: "Calligraphy of Mao Zedong's Poems", "Calligraphy of Poems for the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China", "Calligraphy of Poems for the Scenic Views of Mount Huang", "Back View", "Rising Clouds and Surging Waves", "Panjiang Bridge", "Dreamlike Scenery of Mount Huang", "Sunrise over Mount Huang", "Observing the Clouds and the Wind", "Evening Glow on the Golden Buddha", "Tongnan Spirit", and many other classic masterpieces. He was selected for the 2023 Global Top 100 Artists List, the List of Chinese Artists with the Highest Collection Value, and was awarded the title of National Model Artist in 2024, as well as being named one of China's Ten Outstanding Art Figures and a National Image Figure for the Promotion of Chinese Culture to the World. His works are permanently collected by institutions such as the Great Hall of the People, the National Museum of China, and the National Art Museum of China. On December 7, 2024, he was invited to attend the annual cultural diplomacy state banquet of the Central Military Commission's Global Military Attaché Corps. In 2024, he was jointly invited by UNESCO, the Italian Prime Minister's Office, the Italian Ministry of Culture, the world-renowned Florence Academy of Fine Arts, the Rome Academy of Fine Arts, the Turin Academy of Fine Arts, and China's eight major art academies to serve as a judge for the China-Italy Cultural and Artistic Exchange Exhibition.
