谢才保，1946年生于华罗庚家乡江苏常州金坛区，中共党员、国家一级/高级技师、中国摄影家协会会员。自1969年退伍后跟随人像大师李锁庆学习传统用光摄影法，1986年至今斩获国、省、市、区影赛一等奖11次，先后荣获2022年柏林国际摄影节中组委金熊奖、2022年CHRYSALIS国际摄影巡回展（水乡公园）金牌、2024年中国关心下一代工作委员会金奖（作品《抗战老兵嘱托晚辈勿忘国耻》）、2025年文化旅游部人才中心华美行金奖（作品《迎新春》）、2025年上海国际“郎静山摄影艺术奖”大赛金像奖等诸多荣誉。个人还获评2019年常州“十佳老有所为人物”、2023年“常州好人”、2023年非遗高层次艺术人才，2019年有红旗书号发行《时光记忆》谢才保摄影作品集，2023年4月走进CCTV名家讲坛，2024年接受人民日报文化版专题采访，2025年8月6日CCTV新闻专题报道，抗战老兵大合影照片摄影过程。

Xie Caibao was born in 1946 in JinTai District, Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, the hometown of Hua Luogeng. He is a member of the Communist Party of China, a national first-class/senior technician, and a member of the Chinese Photographic Association. Since 1969, after his military discharge, he studied traditional lighting photography methods under the master Li Suqing. Since 1986, he has won the first prize in national, provincial, municipal, and district photography competitions 11 times. He has successively received the Golden Bear Award of the Organizing Committee of the Berlin International Photography Festival in 2022, the Gold Medal of the CHRYSALIS International Photography Tour (Water Town Park) in 2022, the Gold Award of the China Youth and Children's Work Committee of the 2024, the Gold Medal of the Cultural Tourism Department Talent Center's Huamei Tour in 2025 (for the work "The Veterans'entrust  to the Younger Generation： Remembering the National Humiliation")， and the Golden Medal of the Shanghai International "Lang Jingshan Photography Art Award" Competition in 2025 (for the photo "The Group Photo of Anti-Japanese Veterans"). He has also been awarded the title of "Top Ten Senior Citizens Who Have Contributed to Society" in 2019， "Changzhou Good Person" in 2023， and "High-level Art Talent of Intangible Cultural Heritage" in 2023. In 2019， he published "Time Memory" - Xie Caibao's photography works collection under the Red Flag Book Number. In April 2023， he entered the CCTV Master Lectures Forum. In 2024， he was interviewed in detail by the Cultural Section of People's Daily. On August 6， 2025， CCTV's news special report covered the photo shooting process of the large group photo of anti-Japanese veterans.

Xie Caibao's camera lens has always carried the mission of "rescuing history". From 2006 to 2022， even though he was suffering from prostate inflammation， cholecystitis， and lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion， without any information about the anti-Japanese veterans， he went to the mountains， out of communities， to hospitals， and to nursing homes， traveling by bus， walking， even staying in bathrooms， only to search for and capture the glorious images of the anti-Japanese veterans to preserve their history. He also re-entered the scene to shoot the video of the veterans'entrust  "Don't Forget the National Humiliation， Strengthen Our Country" twice. Over the past 16 years， he found 152 anti-Japanese veterans and spent several months learning PS technology. He extracted and arranged the images of the veterans taken in different environments such as outdoors， indoors， and hospital wards， and finally composed a 5.5-meter-long large group photo. This work has been collected and displayed in many exhibition halls and memorial museums.

From 2010 to 2025， he secretly， randomly， and continuously shot traffic police officer Lu Xudong in the rain and snow， accumulating over 8，000 photos.

谢才保的镜头始终肩负着“抢救历史”的使命担当。2006年至2022年，即便身患前列腺炎症、胆囊炎、腰椎间盘突出，在无抗战老兵信息资料的情况下，他进山区、出社区、跑医院、到疗养院，靠坐公交、步行奔波，甚至住浴室，只为为抗战老兵寻找拍摄留下光辉影像，还二次上门拍摄《勿忘国耻，强我中华》的老兵嘱托视频。十六年间，他共寻找到152位抗战老兵，耗时数月自学PS技术，将在户外、室内、医院病房等不同环境下拍摄的老兵影像逐一抠图、排版，最终拼成5.5米长的巨幅合影，这幅作品已被多处展览馆、纪念馆收藏展示。

2010年至2025年，他在雨雪中偷拍、抓拍、跟拍交警陆旭东，累计拍摄8000多张片子。为陆旭东获评全国优秀人民警察、一等功、中国好人、全国公安楷模（江苏唯一）、全国道德模范等各类先进荣誉提供了最真实的资料，而陆旭东的雷锋精神也感染着他坚持跟拍下去。

He also visited the veterans again to shoot the video of their instructions for "Never Forget the National耻， Strengthen China" twice. Over the past sixteen years， he found a total of 152 veterans of the war. He spent several months learning PS technology and， in different environments such as outdoors， indoors， and hospital wards， extracted and arranged the images of the veterans one by one. Finally， he composed a 5.5-meter-long large-scale group photo. This work has been collected and displayed in many exhibition halls and memorial museums.

From 2010 to 2025， he secretly， randomly， and continuously filmed traffic police officer Lu Xudong in the rain and snow. He shot a total of over 8，000 photos. These photos provided the most authentic materials for Lu Xudong to be awarded various advanced honors such as National Excellent People's Police， First-Class Merit， China Good Person， National Police Model (the only one in Jiangsu)， and National Moral Model. Lu Xudong's Lei Feng spirit also inspired him to continue filming.

更难能可贵的是，谢才保将摄影艺术转化为公益实践的创新探索。2016年起自费十四多万元，创办了“爱国拥军”“警察工匠”“国省市好人榜”“全国百名一等功臣英雄图片资料展”四大文化公益长廊，以2800余幅照片、330多平米的长期展示空间，构建起社区里的精神地标，省、市、区电视台及各类报刊杂志多次采访报道。

What is even more commendable is that Xie Caibao has made an innovative exploration of transforming the art of photography into a form of public welfare practice. Since 2016, he has spent over 140,000 yuan of his own funds to establish four cultural public welfare corridors: "Patriotism and Military Support", "Police Craftsmen", "National, Provincial, Municipal Good Person List", and "National Hundred Heroes with First-Class Merit Picture Exhibition". With over 2,800 photos and a long-term display space of 330 square meters, these four cultural public welfare corridors have become spiritual landmarks in the community. They have been frequently interviewed and reported by provincial, municipal, and district TV stations as well as various newspapers and magazines.

年过八旬的谢才保， 他希望留下的影像作品，能让晚辈们懂得幸福生活来之不易，传承中华民族的信仰，铭记历史、勿忘国耻、强我中华，永远听毛主席话、跟党走。

Xie Caibao, now in his eighties, hopes that his photographic works will help younger generations understand how hard-won a happy life truly is, carry forward the beliefs of the Chinese nation, remember history, never forget national humiliations, strengthen China, and always heed Chairman Mao's guidance while following the path of the Communist Party.
