陈岳，字绿湖，号岭南醉客、绿湖居士，广东省龙川县人。八岁开始练字，启蒙老师看其悟性高，在功课之余，从笔画描红开始教习魏碑字帖。六十年代初，家境贫寒，拾红珠(一种红石)磨粉代墨习字。父亲是一名造纸厂工人，每星期都会带回一些草纸供我习字之用，这些成了我习字的有利条件。由于字写得好，小学、中学、师范都是校学习专栏黑板报的编写人，加之平时勤于练字，十多年来打下了较好的基础。
1976 年中师毕业后，直调县政府工作，曾担任县长秘书。1986年加入惠阳地区书协。1988 年河源建市，调市政府部门工作。业余时间坚持书法练习，潜心研究历史名家的法帖并以之为师，同时还研习当代名家书法精品，吸取其技巧及章法，笔耕不止，乐在其中，四十多年来，正、草、隶、楷、行兼学，书法技艺有了长足进步。但依然始终坚持低调行事，在河源二十多年里，坚持“四不”，即：不个展、不立传、不参赛、不参会。多年来，走访了祖国许多名山大川、名胜古迹，认真观摩碑林石刻，开阔了视野年度书画风云人物》，诚邀入编中国美协、中国书协、中国文联主办的《大家书画》，并编辑为封面人物予以安排。入编神州杂志社《人民肖像》精品艺术作品集、《七大常委七大书法家》特刊、中国艺术交流协会《中国书坛——一代宗师》。
在红旗颂——全国书画名家“喜迎十八大”主题活动中获得红旗颂——艺术风范人物金奖，被编入中华伏羲文化研究会《人民需要的艺术家》、被誉为艺坛领军人物、被编入中国邮政出版的《科学发展再创辉煌》喜迎十八大主题电话卡和邮票图片、入编南粤功勋大典、被北京九州艺海特聘高级顾问，签约特级书画师。诚邀参加一年一度世界华人艺术精品大展、第四届中国书画名家巴黎大展、邀请入编《友好艺术交流》。

Chen Yue, also known as Lvhu, Lingnan Zuike, and Lvhu Jushi, is from Longchuan County, Guangdong Province. Started practicing calligraphy at the age of eight, and the enlightenment teacher noticed his high comprehension. In addition to homework, he started teaching Wei Bei calligraphy from drawing red strokes. In the early 1960s, from a poor family background, he picked up red pearls (a type of red stone) and ground them into powder to practice calligraphy. My father is a paper mill worker who brings back some papyrus every week for me to practice calligraphy, which has become a favorable condition for me. Due to their excellent handwriting, elementary, middle, and normal schools have all been responsible for writing school study columns and blackboards. In addition, they have been diligent in practicing handwriting, laying a solid foundation for over a decade.
After graduating from junior high school in 1976, he was directly transferred to the county government and served as the secretary of the county mayor. Joined the Huiyang Regional Book Association in 1986. In 1988, Heyuan was established as a city and its government departments were transferred to work. In my spare time, I persist in calligraphy practice, devoting myself to studying the calligraphy of historical masters and taking them as my teachers. At the same time, I also study the exquisite calligraphy of contemporary masters, absorb their techniques and rules, and enjoy writing. For more than 40 years, I have been learning calligraphy techniques including regular script, cursive script, clerical script, regular script, and cursive script, and have made significant progress in my calligraphy skills. But he still insists on keeping a low profile and has been in Heyuan for more than 20 years, adhering to the "four no's", namely: no solo exhibition, no biography, no participation, and no attendance. Over the years, I have visited many famous mountains, rivers, scenic spots and historical sites in our country, carefully observed stone carvings in the forest of steles, and broadened my horizons.
