张少石,号牧虎草堂主,伏虎散人,1951年生于河北省易县。张少石艺术馆馆长、中国美术家协会会员、中国香港书法家协会会员、张少石艺术研究会会长、北京宣和艺术研究院副院长、北京文房四宝堂艺术顾问、山东东方美术研究所创作研究员、烟台国际书画研究中心顾问、秦皇岛警协画院名誉院长。
画家自幼习画,毕业于北京美术专科学校,1972年从师国画大师娄师白先生习大写意花鸟,后倾心于画虎。画家在汲取前人工笔画技法的基础上,大胆地在构图和用笔上进行变革。把小写意画法与工笔画法融为一体,给人耳目一新之感。他笔下的虎多生活于崇山峻岭之中,细致之处,毛发毕现,神态威猛,呼之欲出,意境创设的宁静致远与大自然有着天然和谐。著名国画大师娄师白先生为其30米长卷《百虎图》题跋:“少石仁弟画虎有其特点,能自成风格,构图严谨,生动有趣,可誉以虎王之称。”《百虎图》被业内人士誉为神品。
作品多次刊登于《人民日报》、《解放军报》、《文艺报》等各大报刊。个人传略入编《中国书画30年史》、《中国书画教育成就大关》,并由河北美术出版社出版有《张少石画集》。作品雄风万里图被中国革命军事博物馆收藏,作品曾多次参加展览并被国内外多家艺术机构及个人收藏。2007年被授予世界华人杰出艺术家、共和国杰出艺术家并被国内外画坛称为“虎父”。
Zhang Shaoshi,also known as Mu Hu Cao Tang Zhu,was born in 1951 in Yi County,Hebei Province,China.Director of Zhang Shaoshi Art Museum,member of China Artists Association,member of Hong Kong Calligraphers Association,President of Zhang Shaoshi Art Research Association,Vice President of Beijing Xuanhe Art Research Institute,Art Consultant of Beijing Wenfang Sibao Hall,Creative Researcher of Shandong Oriental Art Research Institute,Consultant of Yantai International Calligraphy and Painting Research Center,Honorary President of Qinhuangdao Police Association Painting Academy.
The painter has been studying painting since childhood and graduated from Beijing Academy of Fine Arts.In 1972,he studied under the master of Chinese painting,Mr.Lou Shibai,to learn freehand painting of flowers and birds.Later,he fell in love with painting tigers.The painter boldly made changes in composition and brushwork based on the techniques of manual drawing.Integrating freehand brushwork with meticulous brushwork gives a refreshing feeling.The tigers in his works often live in the rugged mountains,with delicate details,prominent fur,powerful expressions,and a natural harmony with nature,creating a serene and far-reaching atmosphere.Mr.Lou Shibai,a famous Chinese painting master,wrote a postscript on his 30 meter long scroll"Hundred Tigers":"Shao Shi Rendi's painting of tigers has its own characteristics,such as being able to form his own style,rigorous composition,vivid and interesting,and can be praised as the king of tigers.""Hundred Tigers"is praised by industry insiders as a masterpiece.
The work has been published multiple times in major newspapers such as People's Daily,PLA Daily,and Literary Daily.My personal biography has been included in the compilation of"A 30-year History of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy"and"The Great Achievements of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Education",and has been published by Hebei Fine Arts Publishing House in the"Zhang Shaoshi Painting Collection".The artwork'Mighty Journey'has been collected by the Chinese Revolutionary Military Museum.The work has participated in exhibitions multiple times and has been collected by many art institutions and individuals at home and abroad.In 2007,he was awarded the title of Outstanding Artist of the Chinese World and Outstanding Artist of the Republic,and was known as the"Tiger Father"in the domestic and international art circles.
